The Nou Camp stadium is the home ground of FC Barcelona. It is known to be one of the biggest and most atmospheric stadiums in the world. Although popularly called the Camp Nou by football fans, its official name Estadi del Futbol Club Barcelona translates as FC Barcelona Stadium.

The Nou Camp stadium is simply massive. When you stand on the top tier you can bearly see the pitch, let alone any players! If you can, get a ticket to a match, if not you can take a tour of the ground. For roughly 10 euros you are given a guided tour in English of the changing rooms, the tunnel and its chapel, the manager’s dug-outs, the trophy room and museum.Either is good!

FC Barcelona was founded in 1899 as always has been a symbol of Catalan nationalism. When Franco was leader of the country the hate towards the Spanish Madrid was enormous. This has never faded away.

The stadium consists of facilities such as a memorabilia shop, mini pitches for training matches, and a quaint little chapel for players to seek divine assistance before matches.
