Retiring to Spain
|
Guide leisure Spain - retiring to Spain leisureIf you love outdoor activities, Spain is most definitely the place to be. Where as leisure in Britain involves every game of golf, bowls or outing has to be planned with the weather very much in mind, in sunny Spain, 'rain stopped play' is a very unusual occurrence indeed! For golfers, there are sixteen championship golf courses on the Costa Blanca alone - many of which are 'pay and play'. Whether you're a novice or a would-be champion you will find each and every one of them a delight. The almost continual sunshine and warm clear blue sea makes watersports
particularly attractive. There is scuba diving, surfing, sailing and
of course swimming and snorkelling. New marinas are being built all
the time to cope with the demand for Tennis and bowls are very popular with the British community as is gardening. There are numerous, well-stocked garden centres, and your ability to nurture tropical plants, palms and exotics is greatly improved by the Mediterranean sun.
Indoors, cinema is always popular with all the latest blockbusters
available. There is also a fantastic variety of clubs and associations
- whether your interests lie in yoga, dancing, art, languages, or
even vintage cars. |
