The Manises Golf Club is the
oldest of the Valencian clubs. It is a 9-hole course, whose flat layout
requires precision and constancy because the fairways are narrow and
flanked by dense trees, and the greens are small and surrounded by
numerous bunkers, with limited room to manoeuvre on the approach and
a lot of rough.
The important thing to remember all the
way around is not to lose sight of the straight line. You also
have to bear in mind the difficulty which exists when coming off
the fairways.
The 7th hole, a very long par-4, is especially
worth mentioning as is the fairway of the 3rd, where the second
shot – if you manage to clear a group of tall pine trees – can
reach the green and allow you to go for a well-deserved birdie.
Basically, it is a very comfortable and simple
course which will be enjoyed by elderly people,
beginners and children.
